  1. Firstly we carry out our 24 point site survey which reveals the full potential your particular location has to deliver any of the above. This defines any special requirements above and beyond which our basic systems already provide
  2. Secondly we have designed specific programs and customer services that are offered as standard with any coach operating a yourgolf academy.

Basic services offered


The mission is expressed in our desire to discover as much about our clients and their goals so we can set benchmarks that guarantee your success and satisfaction for an investment which represents sensational value through a varied selection of programs

Minimum services to be offered unless approved by training panel

All clients whether visiting once or on long termed improvement plans will be offered

  • A Full assessment (to fully evaluate the clients needs)
  • Monthly Email newsletter (Improvement guidelines and information)
  • Monthly free swing check evening for all clients (min. once a month)
  • Weekly Skills College (2-hour session) 20 sessions repeated twice a year. (When demand sufficient)
  • Practice Buddy database enabling clients to help each other when practicing
  • Video Assessment available with every lesson
  • Lesson programs (all offering exceptional added value to suit all budgets)
  • Playing lessons-group where appropriate junior, senior, ladies
  • Playing lessons-1-2-1
  • Where appropriate offer YMG or junior program inc summer camps
  • Use of wide range of teaching aids including as mandatory, mirrors

Where services are being offered at driving ranges or shops similar services will be offered with the sanction and support of the WGTF of GB & I.

Agree to offer the following lesson services as minimum standards

  • The coach will agree all benchmarks with Client
  • The coach will present each new client with his mission statement
  • All programs offer a more than money back guarantee
  • All coaches will present themselves in a manner befitting their professional status
  • Coaches will always coach with passion and enthusiasm with the client in mind at all times.
  • Coach will always be on time
  • Mobile phone is switched off when coaching
  • Client is called day before lesson to remind them of appointment
  • Client is contacted within 7 days to check on progress and understanding
  • Client is contacted if not returned in 3 months
  • All coaches offering services will have recommended coach status (see separate sheet)

Conditions for coach to qualify and maintain recommended coach status

  • Qualified level 3 Diploma
  • Minimum 500 hours coaching (evidence coaching log)
  • NLP golf practitioner (certified by SNLP)

Attend a minimum of four auxiliary trainings includes

  • The Inner Game*
  • Advanced Faults and Fixes*
  • The Golfing Machine*
  • Junior Golf
  • Club Fitting*
  • Golf Biomechanics
  • The Alexander Technique

*Mandatory

In Addition;

  • CRB checked (criminal record check)
  • Attended good practice and child protection course
  • Attended first aid course (emergency aid for appointed person)
  • Member of good standing of this professional golf association
  • Meets the annual requirements of continual professional development program.
  • 2 hours monitored coaching assessed by Buddy or Chief assessor
  • Per annum 10 written client testimonials
  • Attended 2 practice group meetings

Specific skills Recommended Coach required to demonstrate on certification day.

  • Annual adherence to outside qualifications, CPD (50 hrs) and coaching log.
  • Agree to offer services within WGTF of GB & I Customer Charter or complete your own customer charter for your specific niche.
  • A complete operational understanding of the Inner game, Golfing Machine and the ability to demonstrate their effective use.
  • Ability to recognise and advise clients correctly regarding club fitting.
  • A complete understanding and the ability to demonstrate correct fault and fixing, especially with regard to teaching aids.
  • Complete the diploma teaching examination over 60 minutes using video technology gaining a minimum of 85% of the marks on offer while demonstrating with total confidence the skills learnt
  • Produce actual client coaching and practice plans
  • Demonstrate an understanding of quality marketing and a policy of action.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the golf proprietors needs.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of NLP and use effectively to coach to an outstanding standard.*

*Some if the specific NLP skills you will require are: - rapport, anchoring and collapsing anchors, effective feedback, goal-setting, understanding the importance of values and beliefs, swish pattern, reframing, persuasion, positioning, hypnosis and self-hypnosis, motivation, decision making strategies all of the NLP change techniques.

Provide marketing material and evidence inc:

  • Business card
  • Leaflets
  • Referral scheme
  • Statutory program requirements
  • Satisfactorily completed profile for web site
  • Provide a business proposal to a golf business, real or imaginary
  • Provide evidence that you have achieved all statutory requirements

In addition to those coach contracted to work on site any coach who has reached this status will be allowed to bring addition clients to your location as long as they have been out sourced. Each one of these coaches is held on a register and has to adhere to the following criteria as minimum.

Recommended coach promise to proprietor

 

  • Will contact agreed representative to book time on the range or golf course
  • Will at all times seek to understand the proprietor's needs
  • Promote the location and its facilities
  • Bring to the attention any health and safety issues.
  • Clear up after themselves
  • Pay the proprietor £5 for every hour the range is used plus buy the balls at the standard rate
  • Pay the proprietor £5 for the privilege of taking a clients or clients on the course for nine holes
  • All clients playing nine holes will be responsible for full amount of green fee
  • Be discreet at all times
  • Be aware of the feelings and needs of any coaches working full time at the location.
  • All monies will be paid in advance
  • Be responsible for behaviour of their clients
  • Will never prospect for business unless given written permission
  • Will never accept business offered
  • Wear smart uniform at all times
  • Be considerate of proprietors staff and all guidelines and rules
  • Accept termination of agreement without recourse

We believe that the coaching industry needs to open up and become a free market. We believe that this benefits both the proprietor and client.

The proprietor will benefit from having motivated, enthusiastic representatives marketing outside and away from the location bringing in new business they would otherwise not enjoy.

As a recommended coach you gain by always having somewhere to coach and play. This also means you are not tied to one location. Your business can be niche driven, moving around the country with your specific expertise.

We will hold a register of all those applying for this licence. The proprietor of the establishment will then feel safe because a governing body is taking responsibility for its members. We will reserve the right to remove any coach from the register for any breech of the contract or for any breech of our own code of conduct.

We are committed over the next five years to expand this opportunity to as many golf clubs driving ranges and any other suitable locations.

The fee chargeable by each club may vary from one club to another but agreements will only be based on win/win scenarios. The contact you will sign and copy to the agreed contact will be as follows and of course be open to change at seven days notice.

Client Charter


The customer charter is designed to inform the client clearly of what services they can expect to receive and what level of customer service they should expect as standard. It is quite possible that services and the service offered will exceed these expectations.
